Anxiety Management

Through Samara’s approach to treating anxiety, clients learn to discern which aspects of anxiety are solvable and which can be lived with and managed successfully. Samara helps individuals gain insight into the roots of their anxiety and work through past difficult experiences which may be contributing to anxiety in the present. This insight-oriented work allows clients to become more aware of their triggers to anxiety. They can then work to reduce the impact of these triggers, as well as developing coping skills to deal with anxiety when it does arise.

Samara also does successful work with clients who are overcoming past traumatic experiences. By integrating a number of evidence-based techniques, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Samara helps clients process and move through trauma in order to experience more ease and relaxation in their day-to-day lives.
For many people, EMDR can provide deeper levels of healing and growth than talk therapy alone. Because this is an experiential approach, it can be especially effective for individuals who feel “stuck” or “blocked” by life obstacles that they’ve been unable to overcome through their own efforts or through talk therapy by itself. Through Samara’s guidance, an individual is able to integrate past difficult experiences and release anxiety and trauma on a cellular level.
I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that Samara saved my life, or at the very least the quality of my life. After 10+ years of what turned out to be unsuccessful therapy, I truly thought that my life was destined to be filled with anxiety and compulsion. After one meeting with Samara, she diagnosed my problem and started me on a course of therapy that changed the way I think and react to problems both real and imagined.

Following the death of my father, Samara helped me learn to manage my grief, minimize my anxiety and regain an overall sense of well-being. She is an excellent therapist -- knowledgeable, compassionate and patient.
